Sapporo Kokusai Skiing Resort

This place is written as [札幌国際スキー場] in Japanese.

Sapporo Kokusai Skiing Resort (札幌国際スキー場) is located south of Sapporo, adjacent to the Jozankei area. If you’re staying in Jozankei, you can enjoy a full day of skiing followed by a relaxing soak in a hot spring.

For those driving or taking a taxi from the Sapporo city center, it’s often quicker to go via the Asari direction through Otaru rather than heading south from Sapporo due to distance and potential traffic jams.

The resort has shorter operating hours and no night skiing, so arriving early in the morning is essential to maximize your skiing time. Weather conditions can be unpredictable, sometimes leading to the closure of the gondola to the mountaintop. Despite this, snowboarders are welcome, making it a versatile destination for winter sports enthusiasts.
