Horomitoge Lavender Garden and Night View Spot in Sapporo

Horomitoge is a mountain pass connecting Bankei and Maruyama in the Sapporo city area. The road is quite narrow, requiring careful attention while driving.

The garden is open from April to the end of November, offering visitors the opportunity to enjoy Sapporo’s night views from their cars.

The lavender season starts early, with blooms appearing from late June and reaching their peak from early to mid-July. It’s a perfect time to witness the stunning lavender fields in full bloom.

Entry for walking is allowed from 9:00 to 17:00. Please note that bicycles and motorcycles are not permitted.

If you are a novice driver, it is advisable not to drive there. Consider taking a taxi instead.

The Bankei Ski Area is located very close to this spot.
