This place is written as [サッポロテイネスキー場] in Japanese.

It takes about 40 minutes from the central area of Sapporo, and then you can immerse yourself in powder snow at Sapporo Teine Ski Area. This venue hosted the Winter Olympic Games in 1972 and used to consist of two separate areas: Teine Highland and Teine Olympia. In 2005, they merged into what is now known as Sapporo Teine Ski Area. During the Olympic Games, Slalom and Giant Slalom events took place at the Teine Highland, now referred to as the Highland zone, while Luge and Bobsled events were held at Teine Olympia, now the Olympia zone. Today, the Slalom and Giant Slalom courses in the Highland zone and the cauldron in the Olympia zone still remain.

Sapporo Teine Ski Area is renowned as one of the best ski areas in Sapporo. Its longest slope stretches approximately 6,000 meters, catering to both beginners and experts in skiing and snowboarding. Rental wears and ski/snowboard equipment packages are readily available, so all you need to bring is yourself and some money.

During the peak season from December to February, the Highland zone receives ample powder snow, especially at higher elevations when the weather conditions are favorable. Sapporo Teine Ski Area is known for its fresh and powdery snowfall, making it a popular destination comparable to Niseko. For families with young children or beginners, the Olympia zone offers gentler slopes. Visitors can easily move between the Olympia and Highland zones via gondola, facilitating convenient access to various ski trails.

The ski area offers several ski packages, such as JR + Bus + all-day Lift Ticket + Rental wear + Ski set, ensuring a hassle-free experience for all visitors.
