Otaru Snow Story 2014 – 2015

Otaru Snow Story 2014-2015 is a beloved winter event in Otaru City. The city comes alive with enchanting illuminations along Otaru Canal, Canal Plaza, JR Otaru Station, and throughout the streets. First launched last year, this event showcases numerous attractions for visitors. Otaru has long been renowned for its glass products, which are prominently displayed along the streets and canal. Like Hakodate, Otaru boasts many historic buildings from the Meiji, Taisho, and early Showa eras, lending it a nostalgic charm. As night falls, Otaru Canal sparkles with blue lights, a unique December event. Just 40 minutes from Sapporo, it’s a must-see destination!
